1 Corinthians 16:14: Do everything in love

Orienteering - june 2024

Representing Windmill this week in a local schools orienteering competition, were a team from year 4 and a team from year 5. These children had to use teamwork, map-reading skills, navigating and running. They had a great time and came. 5th out of 24 for year 5/6 & 7th out of 22 for year 3/4

Amazing achievement!  Well done.

Y6 Cricket - may 2024

A team of year 6 cricketers took part in a local cricket tournament organised by our School Sports Partnership. They were selected by their teachers during a sports coach cricket PE session and then spent the day at Hanging Heaton Cricket Club. The boys performed brilliantly, winning every match through the day - but took a loss in their final. The member of staff who accompanied them (and has been to many of our sporting events over the years) reported that "I have never felt as proud."

The team behaved well, showed sportsmanship, were kind to pupils in opposing teams and had a cracking day of cricket. Well done cricket team and thank you to the staff who selected the team, drove the mini bus and stayed with the boys so that they could have this opportunity.
