Internet Safety Parent Guides
We must work together to keep our children safe when using the internet and ensure that they are behaving appropriately and in a safe manner themselves. Windmill Church of England Primary School has a zero tolerance on internet or cyber bullying.
Below is a factsheet about many of the common applications children can download to their mobile telephones or ipads. All of these applications are potentially dangerous as they enable anonymous and unidentified people to communicate with your child. We are aware that some children in our school use some of these apps and we urge you to read the attached leaflet and educate yourselves about the potential risks. We encourage you to keep a very close eye on your child's use of apps and would always recommend that Primary school aged children only use the internet in a fully supervised area of your home.
Technology is changing very rapidly and sometimes it is hard to keep up. Below are two useful guides for parents about popular social networking apps 'snap chat' and 'instagram.' Children can use this apps on smartphones, ipads, ipods . . anything with an internet connection. If your child has these apps please review their usage frequently and teach them how to use them appropriately.
